The hotel features 63 rooms and suites, across 8 categories, ranging from double rooms with a balcony to the 102 sqm presidential suite. All rooms offer views of the Bucegi Mountains.
At what altitude is the hotel located?
Hotel Peștera is situated at 1,610 m altitude, in Stațiunea Turistică Peștera-Padina, in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains.
How far is it from Bucharest?
We are approximately two and a half hours from Bucharest, by car.
What does the Oxygen Spa centre include?
Oxygen Spa features themed saunas (Finnish, Himalayan salt and hammam), heated indoor and outdoor pools, a snow room, a Kneipp walkway and a range of treatments and massages.
Do you have a playground for children?
Yes. Heidi Land is the little ones' realm: an indoor playground on level K, next to the restaurant, featuring a climbing wall and play areas for all ages. Access is free for guests.
What tourist attractions are nearby?
Babele, Sfinxul, the Ialomița Cave and hermitage, Omu Peak and the Tătaru Gorge are all within easy reach. The hotel also has three private parks, and mountain trails set off right from its doorstep.
Do you organise weddings and events?
Yes. SFINX Ballroom is a modular hall of 263 sqm, accommodating up to 300 guests: conferences, team-building, weddings, christenings and anniversaries.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 16:00, check-out by 11:00. Early check-in and late check-out may be granted subject to availability, possibly at an additional charge.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, breakfast is included in the rate and is served daily between 08:00 and 10:30.
What about parking?
Parking is free for hotel guests and 50 lei/day for visitors. We also have electric vehicle charging stations (via the iHunt app). Parking is at your own risk.
Is access to Oxygen Spa included?
Access to the Oxygen Spa facilities is included for guests staying in 5-star category rooms. For 4-star category rooms, access is available at an additional charge, subject to availability.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed in the hotel.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
No. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms and public areas; the rooms are equipped with smoke detectors.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash (Romanian lei), card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express) and bank transfer. Online payments are securely processed by Global Payments.
How do I get to the hotel by car?
Car access is via the national road DN71 Sinaia-Târgoviște, towards Cabana Cuibul Dorului and Cabana Dichiu, then along DJ713 (TransBucegi), a paved road, passing to the right of Lake Bolboci on the way up.

Is there Wi-Fi and mobile phone signal at 1,610 m?
Yes. Wi-Fi is complimentary, with an excellent signal throughout the entire hotel. For mobile telephony, Vodafone signal is available in all indoor areas.
Do children have access to Oxygen Spa?
Yes, children are welcome at Oxygen Spa when accompanied by an adult. Little ones even have their own dedicated indoor pool.
Do I need to book spa treatments and massages in advance?

Can I dine at the restaurant if I am not staying at the hotel?
Yes, Restaurant Kogaion welcomes you for lunch or dinner even if you are not a hotel guest. During busy periods, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Mountain weather changes quickly: summers are cool, winters are rich in snow, and a day can start with sunshine and turn foggy. Bring comfortable footwear, a warm layer and hiking gear if you want to explore. You can see the mountain right now on our live cameras.
Can the Ialomița Cave be visited from the hotel?
Yes, the Ialomița Cave and the hermitage at its entrance are just a few hundred metres from the hotel, an easy 15-20 minute walk. You can find more about these and other attractions on the Surroundings page.
What are the reception hours?
The reception is open around the clock (24/7). Whenever you need anything, our team is there for you.
What are the Oxygen Spa opening hours?
Oxygen Spa is open daily, from 10:00 to 22:00. For treatments and massages, we recommend booking in advance, at the reception desk or by phone.
What are the opening hours of Restaurant Kogaion?
Restaurant Kogaion is open daily: breakfast 08:00 – 10:30, lunch 12:30 – 16:30 and dinner 18:30 – 22:00. The restaurant also welcomes non-hotel guests; during busy periods we recommend making a reservation.
